I was on my families boat and we came to a beach and when we come to the beach my sister loves to catch little critters. So when she was looking in tide pools she saw a big shell that was moving and she goes “hey everyone I found something” and it was a hermit crab. But we all did not know what type it is. The shell was about four inches long and two and a half inches tall. The crab was about three inches long and two and a half inches tall. The hermit crabs color was a brown on its claws, it had orange whiskers on its eye, and as the claws came closer to the face the skin started to become a light brown. It’s behavior was a bit strange. We stood away from it and I took two minuets to come out then when it came out it kept going back and forth into its shell even though we did not move the entire time. When we flipped it over it fell back on to its shell then it flipped back and started moving across the boat. (We put him back and we did not keep him before we left)
