First observation. Historically only seen while on migration. Approximately 10 dozen individuals.
My apologies... Under cloudy skies I saw black head and bill, however, on today's sunshiny pictures the red bill is apparent.
Theory: From long term park patrons, I heard they've never seen anything like this before. April showers did not arrive until April 30 thru first week of May, just before their arrival. Farmers would not have been able to work in their fields.
