Phycosoma sp feeding on Chrysso
Phycosoma- I call this spider as psyco soma as its really psychic in feeding ants. I was always thinking, will this spider not get bored of its diet . Nocturnal hunter which has a habit of coiling ants after feeding on it . I have seen this Phycosoma with more than 10 ants coiled to eachother & exhibiting its capacity . Very rarely, I have observed this spider feeding on woodlice. Yesterday there were many Phycosoma in our farm feeding on alate ants which were emerging after the first rain . But here is one exceptional Phycosoma feeding on another spider( chrysoo sp ) of the same family Theridiidae .
Sometimes Phycosoma may also change diet to have some change in its routine :)
