I've been herping the SE Texas region since 2000. I enjoy finding and photographing beautiful native snakes in their (diminishing) natural habitats, and cataloging when and where I find them, making iNaturalist an obvious fit for me and my hobby. I'm currently a biotech scientist with a degree in plant and soil science, minors in biology and a fascination with all aspects of science in general, from taxonomy and herpetology to microscopy and evolution!
