Carolee and I made a butterfly trip to the west end of the Pend Oreille valley. The most abundant flyer was the Echo Azure, with some Asher's Blues mixed in. A few Western Whites, Cabbage Whites, Julia Orangetips, Brown Elfins, a couple of Mourning Cloaks and a rather beaten up Compton Tortoiseshell, which was new for us in the valley. So was the Western White. Got up to 18C today, so might see more action this following week.
